Wellington SPCA’s Vet Clinic is located at their Newtown Centre, in the Historic Fever Hospital. By bringing your pet to their Vet Clinic you are supporting Wellington SPCA and helping them treat thousands of animals that come into their care every year.
Wellington SPCA have been at the forefront of animal welfare across the Greater Wellington Region for over 130 years. They support the Greater Wellington Region from their Animal Care, Education and Community Centre in Wellington's historic Fever Hospital in Newtown, and their Centre in Waikanae. They care for around 5,000 unwanted, abused and neglected animals every year, uphold animal welfare law and promote responsible pet ownership through education and numerous community initiatives.
Wellington SPCA is the only animal welfare charity in Wellington that is legally able to rehome abandoned animals and investigate offences under the Animal Welfare Act 1999. They rely totally on donations, funds raised through services such as their Vet Practice, and the good will of the public to carry out our unique work.
